Attendance Incentive Reminder!

Beginning January 1st DSDC is implementing an incentive for employees that follow the Attendance and Punctuality policy.  The attendance incentive is available to any DSP or LPN that adheres to the attendance policy without any violations.  The incentives will be $25 for the first quarter then $50 for 2 quarters consecutively. For each quarter that the DSP and LPN meet the attendance policy their name will be entered into a biannual raffle for a prize of $500 (July and January).

If you have questions about the policy or incentive, please contact Travis Saine or Barbara Brandon.

Life Hacks

A fund raiser was sponsored by our people supported and staff called A Little Bit of Holiday Cheer for the local Meals on Wheels program last month.

Employees and people supported donated table top Christmas trees for our local Meals on Wheels program. They raised $635 for the organization! Thank you for your generosity!

More than a resolution

Can I really reach my goals?

How can I reach my goals?

Do goals really matter?

How can goals change my life?

The New Year is here. I can remember so many new years and the resolutions or goals that I set. It was exciting! I wrote them down and looked at them for a few weeks so that I’d remember to try and reach them. And then, several weeks later they were forgotten like the useless sweater that my aunt gave me for Christmas.

For some reason, sheer will power is not sustainable for us to meet our goals. Our lives have to take on a different structure. We have to do something every day to get ourselves to that goal. Just like a builder consistently builds a home according to the blueprints, we must build our lives to look like what we have envisioned for our own success.

One of the many common resolutions is to get our finances in order and to save money. A blueprint or plan must be put in place to reach the destination. The steps may include budgeting the necessary and only allowing ourselves a fixed amount for eating out, movies, buying a soft drink at a convenience store, etc. We have to give each dollar an assignment to work for us. Never let your money run recklessly.

If you do not aim for something, you will get nowhere. But, no matter where you are in life, you have dreams. John Maxwell explains how a dream turns into a life-changing goal.

Your dream determines your goals.
Your goals map out your actions.
your actions create results.
And the results bring you success. John Maxwell

Don’t ignore your dreams. Map out a plan for them and change your life.
