February is the month to celebrate Valentine’s Day! You may or may not have a true valentine this year. That’s fine; you can take the opportunity to show love and kindness to a variety of people this month. It will brighten their days and yours too! Here is a list of random acts of kindness. You may decide to choose one a day for several days.
- Text someone and let them know one thing that you appreciate about them
- Donate things that you no longer use to the Help Center, Goodwill, or someone who may need them
- Write a letter to an elderly relative thanking them for the memories they helped make when you were a child
- Write a letter of thanks to someone who may not realize how they have helped you
- Tell a friend or family member 5 things that you are thankful for
- Tell a young parent something that you have noticed that they are doing well with their children
- Tell a child something that you’ve noticed that they are good at
- Bake a meal or cookies and give them to a neighbor
- Volunteer a few hours to a charity
- Visit a shut-in or someone at a nursing home
- Read a story to a child
- Genuinely compliment a co-worker
- Ask someone to share with you what they value most in life
- Teach someone a skill that you have (knitting, crafting, painting, gardening, cooking, etc.)

Mike’s Oven Baked Salmon
- Place a fresh salmon filet on a sheet of aluminum foil that is big enough to wrap the salmon.
- Drizzle the salmon with olive oil and pepper.
- Slice a lemon into wheels, and place on lemon on the top of the salmon filet.
- Place a sprig of Rosemary on top of the salmon and lemon wheel.
- Wrap the aluminum foil over the salmon and other ingredients and fold the edges together to make a pouch.
- Bake the pouch in the oven on 350 for approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
- Open the pouch, plate the salmon, and enjoy.
